аLawns! There is nothing like these welcoming mats to our homes. For people that traveled abroad (and for me, who I spent most of my life in Romania), you now realize that lawns are irreplaceable pieces of fabric of American life. Our kids love it. It shows a best face to neighbors and friends. Between driving in our metal boxes, working on our steel building and living in our well air-conditioned houses, lawns give us a daily contact with nature.

A good lawn is a symbol of our care. They cushion our steps, cool the air, reduce erosion and pollution.

The very least you can do for this lawn in your front- and backyard is mow it. Remember that you should not mow so infrequently that the plant is shocked by loosing too much leaf at one time.

Some of us are also inclined to water it when rainfall is sparse (July and August are typical months for us here on top of Exit 52 hill). The best of us willаfertilize it, and control the weeds.
